Development Licensing
The process of working with IDKit software development tools is simple and easy
to follow. First of all, a customer must acquire their desired SDK
in order to begin working on his or her development and integration project.
Choose IDKit Pro or
IDKit Standard SDK.
The SDK license contains a database of up 5000 users. This is part
of the development kit cost and is pre-paid. This database is for
development purposes. The SDK also comes with 60 days of free technical
support. Additional support can be provided if needed for an additional
fee.
License protection
There are two available forms of license protection available. It
is preferable to choose the Software License type (this is the default) as it
avoids the need to ship any USB keys which are quite costly. Normal online
orders will be with Software licensing type unless a USB Key is specifically
purchased.
- Software license - IDKit license is placed in a file which is linked to hardware properties of the PC.
- USB dongle license - IDKit license is placed on a USB dongle which can be plugged into any PC.

Deployment Licensing
Once a customer has finished the development of his or her application,
additional deployment licenses must be purchased. Depending on which SDK
was purchased there are several deployment license types.
IDKit Workstation
- IDKit Workstation - The IDKit workstation price is based on the number
of users in the database. There are no client licenses required for
the IDKit Workstation as each PC must have its own Database License.
IDKit PRO
- IDKit PRO Server - The IDKit Pro Server price is based on the number of
users in the central database.
- IDKit
PRO Client - The IDKit Pro Client price is based on the volume of client
licenses purchased at one time. The price for a single IDKit Pro
Client is $27.00 and this price is lowered with specific volume discounts
listed in the table below.
